Do you have four or five hours? That’s roughly how long it takes to thoroughly explore the Capital Museum. If you make a choice or skip explanations you might be faster. But what is there to see?
Art and artifacts provide insights into the history, development, art and culture of the buzzing city of Beijing.
With a permanent collection of ancient bronzes, jade, Buddhist statues, calligraphies and paintings, the stunning modern building also shows impressive exhibitions from abroad.
Entry to the permanent exhibition of the museum is free of charge but you do have to reserve your ticket(s) three days in advance. 4000 people per day may visit the museum; an individual may reserve up to 5 tickets at a time.
