The Imperial City Art Museum is located closely to the famous Forbidden City. Its building constructed in the traditional ‘courtyard style’ houses its traditional and contemporary exhibits on two floors.
Five hundred years of Beijing art and artifacts are on display; among them you will find the collections of the Royal Family.
However, since 2008 the museum has broadened its approach introducing also international art exchange programs and diverse cultural events.
