It is China's largest folk art museum; both preserving and presenting traditional Chinese culture and introducing foreign cultures to China.
The museum houses changing international exhibitions. In past exhibitions of Israeli art and design or Columbian culture and artifacts were on display. The Beijing Jintai Art Museum is located at the north gate of Chaoyang Park.
