International Schooling.

Expat families looking for high-quality English-language schooling for their children will most certainly not be disappointed in Beijing. The city is dotted with an array of international schools offering curricula from various English-speaking countries.

The majority of international schools are located in the northwest or west of Beijing in Chaoyang District as most expats end up working somewhere between Lido and CBD (Central Business District). There are also several schools located out towards the airport in Shunyi District (where it is possible to rent houses with green space).

Of course, one of the downsides of sending children to an international school are the relatively high tuition fees, which average at about US$17,000 per year. Luckily, some expat contracts include the payment of children's schooling fees. However, even for those who have to pay the fees themselves, the exchange is a top-notch, college-preparatory, international education in one of Asia's most important metropolises.
