Ranked by many as the top university in China, Tsinghua’s brand-name education and beautiful campus are a draw to foreign graduate students and language learners alike.
Located in Haidian, the main campus, which sits on the site of a former royal garden, is well liked as a lush and peaceful respite from the gritty urban chaos of Beijing. Students find the Chinese language program a smaller than BLCU’s, though not in terms of class sizes, but rather in terms of class offerings.
A variety of graduate degrees are offered in English, including an MBA, while students with proven Chinese proficiency have a wider range of choices. Exchange students at the undergraduate level are also a common sight on campus.
A satellite campus in Guomao is a popular choice with professional expats and their spouses for continuing education. Though it’s not as beautiful as the main campus, its convenient location more than makes up for the aesthetic deficiencies.
