Massage.

Asia is a hedonist's paradise when it comes to pampering oneself. Accordingly, Beijing has its fair share of massage parlors, with services typically including full-body, foot, face, and neck massages. Prices range from very reasonable to extremely extravagant, depending on the location, type of establishment, and type of massage.

Massage parlors can be found all over the city. Those located in areas with more foreigners, such as CBD or the northeast of Chaoyang district, tend to be pricier. However, they may also offer a more diverse selection of methods, including traditional Chinese massage, Swedish oil massage, Thai massage, and many more.

In Beijing there is a multitude of establishments specializing in blind massage. In fact, a great portion of the city’s visually impaired population is employed as massage therapists, who are well-known for having an especially keen sense of touch.

For Western standards, a day at a massage spa is still a very affordable luxury and is also a great way to combat the stress of work and commuting through Beijing’s busy streets. Below are a few to start out with.
