Swimming pools can be found in many of the ritzier apartment complexes, but for those who aren't quite so lucky to have one in the next building over, there are a number of swimming pools available to the public.
Some of the larger hotels grant access to non-guests, but the price tends to be steeper than at the public pools. Kids will have a blast at the city's various water parks, and even beach bums can get their (albeit artificial) fix at several locations around the outskirts of Beijing.
