Services.
Churches and temples and mosques, oh my! With its eclectic array of faiths, Beijing is sure to have the right religious service for residents of any religious background.
Of course, you should expect religious services in Beijing to have “Chinese characteristics” – a foreign passport is often required for entry to English-language services, so be sure to check in advance whether you will need to bring documentation. As well, though there are a plethora of Catholic masses in the capital, they are officially under the auspices of the “Patriotic Catholic Church,” rather than the Roman Catholic Church, though the average congregant won’t notice a difference.
Contact one of these umbrella associations to get more information about services in your community, or see our Churches page for more information on Christian congregations in Beijing.
